Nearly always a tadge windy when Ive been there.
A very Benign Day last June.

Welcome? Miserable bloody weather and this was August.
July and August on this Island were "a bit damp". I've told my wife its her fault she retired at the end of June

Fond memories of a Tosser meeting on Achill in 2006 (?); beautiful part of the world and not a miserable face to be seen. Some tents became a mite unstable as I recall; bike were ridden, beer was drunk, people fell over.
the hill on the road to the beach scares the b'jesus out of me on a windy day with the drop and the random sheep walking out.

It’s a proper tarmac road so way better than the ‘highway’ to AchillHenge but it’s very exposed & on one visit during a storm we had several bikes blown over before we even got to the summit. At least it proved the SOS on my bike worked but it took me a minute to figure where the voice was coming from
