Last Wednesday, 9th August 2023. Myself and co-pilot headed west with the promise of a full day's touring and a mountain pass. Only a relatively recent convert to being a pillion (last offspring is apparently old enough now to be alone if something happens to both of us!) Lots of my old spin routes are all new to her on the bike. We had a great day. Sun broke out once we were passed the city and stayed out. 22.5°C to 26°C and no wind all day.

Midleton -n25- n40- n22- Lissarda.(petrol)- Coolcower- Ballingeary- Gougane Barra.(scones)- Ballylicky- Glengarriff- Adrigole.(photos)- Healy Pass. (Take it all in, More photos)- Lauragh- Kenmare.(dinner)- N71 through Killarney national Park-Killarney- N22 Ballincollig (ice cream). and home via N22/N40/N25.

Have to say, thoroughly loving having the company on board (pillioning is relatively a new concept for me too). Has opened a whole new aspect to not just my biking but actually also to our relationship.

Ok, need to figure out posting photos...🫣

That's a nice route, with a fantastic start point!
