19th August
A quiet day today – I check out of the hotel at 1130 and head back down Highway 91, past Martha’s Café, to Pocatello, where I meet Peter (Blackpaw), an ADVRider who has kindly offered me accommodation here…
Peter doesn’t have a bike at the moment (and is deciding whether to buy one, as he’s possibly going to Iraq for a while soon…). He does seem to be enjoying sitting on the Adv, though…
Peter shares the house with his mother, Elaine, and several animals. A strategically shaved cat…
…and three flat coated retrievers…
I spend the late afternoon re-synching my throttle bodies in Peter’s garage – I’d connected the throttle cables incorrectly to the throttle actuators, and had been unable to successfully do this before – they synch up fine & I’m finished in about an hour. The three of us then sit down to huge T bone steaks and a cold beer or two – excellent.
