The manual states that the damping on the front suspension should be fully closed then one bar back. What the hell is one bar?

That's wrong in the manual Steve IMHO, they are referring to the pre-load adjuster not the damping, the preload adjuster should be backed out to one bar, by that they mean one ring. Damping should be backed out 10 clicks from fully closed.
