Mapsource Version Incompatibility

Warning Folks.

I installed latest version (5.0) of mapsource on one machine and updated a mps file then saved. On a different machine I have a different version of mapsource (lower release number - 4.13) and it came back as unable to read as created using a different version of mapsource.

And I thought Microsoft was bad...

dunno, it was just that i have different versions running on different machines and have been too lazy to upgrade the office machine... when u buy go to the garmin site and download the appropriate software updates

They can be had cheaper than that:

£385 from here gps4less

£389.93 from here GPS Warehouse

£389.93 from here too NavCity

I bought mine from NavCity back in January and they were Ok but I bought my RAM mount from GPS Warehouse and they were extremely helpful and sent me some fixing screws and the retaining knob for free when I somehow lost them. I've heard a dubious tale about gps4Less so try at your own risk unless anyone can confirm otherwise.

Regarding your upgrade question - you shouldn't be affected and should be able to update (if required) online for free.

HTH

Adam
