this one Steve is right on the beach at Putsborough nice site in a quite location the opposit end of from Woolacombe my kids always liked this one when they where younger tourists dont find it to easy
As voted in the Independent in 2006. The observer rated it as "one of the best campsites in britain". I haven't been there yet but will pop across for a weekend in the next few weeks.
Fire's allowed and a there is a nice river and if you have suitably robust transport such as a GS you can get to the more secluded end of the site by crossing the river
Try Cloud Farm or Malmsmead in the Brendon/Doone Valley area. They are both very relaxed campsites in stunning locations just off the A39 almost exactly between Porlock and Lynton. I live next to them both (and have no commercial interest!).
