My GS is useing oil

ive done about 800 miles on my GS in 3 weeks and ive noticed that there is oil on the seal round the outside of the window, the oil has droped to halfway down the window in this short time, has anyone else exspereanced this. Ive been in touch with Pidcocks and they told me to take it in for a new seal, he also said that it is not much oil it has used i thuoght it was.
