My bike is due its 12K service. My nearest dealer is`SLM, but I'm intrigued by the Mobitec route. What experiences do you have and what do you guys recommend?
Mobitec wanted £300 to do a 12k. I told them I had done the oil/filter/plugs/tappets/balancing. This basically IS a 12k service. I wanted the book stamped so they said they would have to do ALL of it again.
My dealer said as long as they rechecked the tappets/balance they were happy as that was the critical bit for warranty. Cost about £100.

Give this guy a ring, Lou Crump he,s over in Essex nr Southend.
He can do all your service at a realistic price, and he can stamp your servce book. Had my 12 k service on my r1150gs a while ago and he charged £170. no probs. seem to recall he was mentioned on this site some time ago.
