After much conthrutchulating about over the last 9 months ( could have pupped by now) today I got my 1991 XJ600 running. It sounds as sweet as yer like with its manky Neta4-1. But at least it runs!!!!!!
Now for the tedious bits: brakes I must have had the rear brake assembly, master cylinder and all pipes apart a dozen times, and replaced the seals with Yamaha original kit (HOW MUCH ), but still only minimal pressure. Not looking forward to the front brakes.
Still, no reason to rush, it was a "project" bike and at least I'm satisfied that the motor is good.
Now then..............I might just be selling off a load of GSA bling in the next few weeks coz I've been tempted by a 1978 KH400 sat in a lock-up.
Ring-ding-a-ding-a-dingggggggg-----------triple vapour trails
