After much deliberation and discussion with SWMBO and taking into account
the "Boreen Run" and another few bike events I've committed to, there is no way
I'll get this sorted till the weekend of the 8th and 9th of September. It
should however be well worth the wait, track, boreen and some optional off-road.:bounce1

What I will be doing in the mean time is a recci on the weekend of the 7/8th
of July. I've a fair idea of a route already, with a few nice spots I've been to before.
Anyone want to meet up and come along ? :augie

I'll post more details shortly, it will be North Cork, in a 15-20 km radius of Fermoy.

Just to clarify my previous post, the Run is on in September, July is just to go looking for the
best tracks and a bit more off-road for the lads who like the mud, and anyone who would like
to come along is more than welcome.

BTW. Thanks a feckin lot Nud1e, as if my palms weren't sweating enough, it's gonna be a gud'un.

If ya can't stand the heat, get outta the kitchen :augie
PS: I don't mind ya gettin' us lost, honest :D

That's great lads, that there is interest, I'd hate to be doing this if there was no
one coming. I was out yesterday looking for more bits and pieces, I found
loads of really twisty boreens and one excellent forrestry track. Didn't leave
till about 5:30, stayed out late looking for stuff, found the forrestry track at
about 9:30 and started playing, brilliant craic. till it got dark, couldn't find my
way out of the bloody place, then the heavens opened, got out eventually
over a ditch beside a Coilte barrier/gate. I was soaked to the skin, but it was worth it.
See pics below (The dark pic was when I decided to get out of there).

I must admit to being a little uneasy at this stage, five minutes later it was
lashing out of the heavens.
