"My locations" Garmin Quest

I am currently loading up my Quest for my forthcoming trip. However I get a message that "My locations" is full and route is truncated.

I've discovered the "my locations" file on the unit, however is there a quick way to remove them all and add on the ones I want / need for the trip. Or is it a case of doing them one at a time?

You have to remove them using the unit, can't be done using Mapsource.

You can delete one at a time, a whole category of waypoints, all with the same symbol, all the ones shown in the window or all of them.

Go into "My locations" press menu then select Delete...

It'll give you four options :thumb2

The quickest way is probably as follows:

Transfer all the waypoints on the Quest to the PC.
Edit what you want on the PC.
Delete all waypoints on the Quest.
Transfer the new list back from the PC to the Quest.

Straightforward and will also be a good opportunity for back up just in case

Thanks chaps, I'd just headed back and dug out the manual and managed to find the process for doing it.

Now a matter of sticking back on what I want.

How many locations can the quest hold?

I think I've read 500 somewhere. Which is OK for a trip, but as the unit stores them all it soon becomes swamped with waypoints.
