Just seen on ADVRider - an email received from tvnav.com:

Hi, the GARMIN Map Update 2008 North America NT should be available soon. GARMIN is now going to allow us to sell the updates.

This update is for the North America City Navigator NT software or preloaded GPS. This update is compatible with the following units for both PC and Mac:
StreetPilot® i5, c330, c340, c530, c550, c580, 7200, 7500, 2720, 2730 and
2820 nüvi® 200, 250, 350, 360, 370, 650, 660, 670 and 680
zumo™ 450 and 550, GPSMAP® 478 and 496, Quest® 2

PC & Mac requirements:
Internet Access is required. USB Interface cable is required (not included
with all Garmin GPS devices).
PC: Windows® 2000 or newer; 256 MB RAM, at least 800x600 display, 16-bit color monitor; 2GB free disk space, USB port, DVD drive
Mac®: Any Intel-based Mac or PowerPC G3 or later Mac, 256 MB RAM, Mac OS X 10.4 or later, 1024x768 display, 2GB free disk space, USB port, DVD drive

No doubt CN Europe 2008 NT will follow in due course, with the non-NT appearing afterwards

Darn, clarified backwards again by the vendor

As for MAC compatibility they are referring to running the update to
update the units with pre-loaded maps only. This update does not make your
stand alone City Navigator MAC compatible.
