Mapsource in Km not miles??

I have just got my garmin Zumo 550 and am new to GPS and have my first of many (Iam sure) question! My mapsource information is in Km not miles. I have worked out how to change the Zumo from one to the other but can't find how to do it on the mapsource

I must say so far I am finding it all a bit confusing
