Rear foot rest vibrations

Hi
I always ride with my wife, and one of the things she complain, is the vibratation on the foot rest.

I'm thing to adapter a lt1200 rear foot rest to gs, as it's bigger it should vibrate less ....

Any opinions will be welcome

It may be worth looking at the exhaust mounting. My wife talks about the same problem with our 2000 model GS, but I looked at a 2002 model a couple of weeks ago in Spain, and it seems as if the exhaust mounting has changed, and it looks like it has a large rubber insert which may be to damp out some of the vibration. A new exhaust mounting may be a lot cheaper than replacement footpegs.
