Insurance for KTM 250 EXC F - tips?

I visited Clive and Richard at Tricounty in Bracknell this morning and looked at the 08 250 EXC F (c £5400) and Clive's second hand 07 (c £4500). Both engines are the same, Clive's has a rejet, Akrapovic, hand guards, bash plate, rad and frame guards.

I called KTM insurance and was quoted £300 TPFT or £500 fully comp. Now this seems a bit steep to me. Any tips on where else to try?

I have my 1150gs insured with Ebike, and my Yamaha WR250F as a second bike for next to nowt.

E-Bike you can have up to four bikes on the same policy

E Bike is great to add and remove bikes And no admin change costs (unless it is hidden)

But very slow at paying out, 2 freinds of mine had claims, 1 took 3 months to pay out the other 3 1/2 months
