WWII Airfeild Sites.

Exellent site.
Thanks for finding it, it's right up my street, as I'm a friend of the 392nd of Wendling.

Mike.

This is five minuets up the road from me. It is RAF Stow Maries. A first world war airfield, It was used once during WW2 when a damaged Spitfire had to land. Hardly any people know it's there. Billets, Bunkers, Gaurdhouse, Ammo bunker, Officers Mess, Bar, everything !

A particular interest of mine! There are quite a few around West Oxon and E Gloucestershire.

Here's the one that used to be just a few minutes walk from where i lived.

I still think it's complete desecration that it was demolished.
