Normandy Beaches and Points of Interest

The attached waypoints and brief description may be of interest to those planning a trip to Normandy with a view to tracing the history of D Day and Normandy Campaign. It is a mere introduction only and I’m afraid only in a basic Mapsource format. ( V 6.5 sorry ). I would suggest that if interested you may ‘research the background’ prior to visiting the area. To this end I would recommend the following books as a starting point :-

Overlord by Sir Max Hastings
and
Six Armies in Normandy by John Keegan.

Feel free to down load and use and add to waypoints and data through your own journeys or knowledge of the area. With apologies for lack of photos but have yet to enter the Digital age.

Also attached, short artiicle for club magazine written about 2 / 3 years ago about the area.
