Zumo 550... what else do I need?

Hi there,
Other than what comes in the box, do I need to buy anything else to mount it on the bike (2006 1200GS)? Assuming that I don't need anything else, where on the bike is it easiest/most convenient to fit? Handlebars? Screen brace thingy (above the clocks)?

Depends on which mount you choose. I went with the TT mount on the TT 1/2" crossbar on my 12 GS. Sits below the speedo on left side.

I have the MigSel mount on my 12GS. Places the unit nicely just above the clocks, so I don't need to 'look away' as such to check it.

Fitted mine on the left hand bar using the mount supplied (RAM) sits just to the lef of the rid when riding and "all the controls fall easily to hand"

only extra for me was a 2gb sd card from ebay.
