would anyone have an idea of the road conditions around the pyrenees at the time of the year.?
i do realise we might hit ice and bad conditions soooner but sure we will end at some bar somwhere for new years.

Pyrenees weather

I can only advise about the weather on the eastern side.
Below 1200m you have a good chance of only getting caught in a one or two day snow storm and then to roads will clear. Above this its pot luck and longer periods of snow on the roads. Say, at 1800m, you could be stuck for a week or so.
The best riding roads are all high altitude and can be Bl..dy dangerous on a bike during winter.
My advice is watch the weather and stay out of the high Pyrenees. If you have to go please be careful.
Safe Riding
