Scotland to Milan first week in April

For a work thing I need to go to Milan and I thought I might bike.

Haven't done the alps on the bike but have done in the car.

Anyone got a view on routes and weather on what is a bit early in the season for the passes.

The motorways on the lower "passes" should be ok but many of the interesting roads and passes won't have been cleared for months. Sorry.

The southern most Alpes Maritimes in Frnace should be OK and are still great roads.
