Does anyone out there know how to re-set the ABS II on a R1150GS?

The lights are flashing alternately from ignition on.

I came off on diesel, and the bike went down in gear with the engine running, thus the front wheel was stopped, but the rear turning.

I have checked the sensor gaps, and all seems OK.

Can it be reset in a similar way to the ABS I on the 1100's
, or do I have to go to a dealer to get it done?

Any help would be welcome.

Cheers,

Mike.

Just to let you all know how to re-set the ABS on an 1150 GS.

It's much the same as the 1100, but here we go:-

Apparently, you Ground the Brown/Blue wire on the circular multipole connection under the front seat (the one clipped to the rear of the fuse box).

Here's the procedure:-

1. Ignition off, earth the Brown wire with the blue stripe (Keep it earthed)

2. Turn the ignition on, and then press and hold in the ABS button for about 90 seconds.

3. After releasing the button, turn the ignition off and then remove the earth link.

4. Turn the ignition back on.
Now you should have two ABS lights flashing together, instead of the two alternately flashing.

This was shown to me by the friendly blokes at Sherlocks.

Cheers,

Mike.:}
