Yes; the weight of an male elk: 500kg.
Imagine you meet one of those guys!

I have a feeling some of you think the Norwegian elk is the same size as the reindeers. Wrong!

Elk/elg/moose; the Norwegian type:
High: 2,8 meter
High buy the shoulders: 2,0 meter
Length: 2,5 meter
Weight: 500kg.

Reindeer/reinsdyr/rein; the Norwegian type:
High buy the shoulders: 1,2 meter
Length: 2,2 meter
Weight: He 250kg, she 100kg.

Roedeer/roe/rådyr; the Norwegian type:
High: 0,75 meter
Length: 1,2 meter
Weight: 36kg.

When my GSA isn't an imaginary killer whale (motorway traffic) or a giant turtle (posing for piccies) then it's invariably visualised as a bull moose; striving mightily against adverse weather conditions and complete strangers who want to kill it (and me).

People over here (North America) think that an elg is elk, when really it's a moose. :eek

Back when I was single, I had a Norwegian Elg Hound, which is called an Elk Hound in North America. It really should be call a Moose Hound.

Anyways, you don't want to hit a Moose, they derail trains.

This is a British Columbia road sign. A good sized Bull here weights 1,400 lbs.
