Went for a quick ride to the Whistle Stop cafe at Whitby last night. It was fairly busy for this time of year. Plenty of GS's there, was yours one of them?

Best bike there was a Norton Commando, just like me dad's years ago.

Nice Commando there, I always liked that blue & white paintjob.:thumb2
When I was a wayward youth back in the late seventies I was doing a project on motorbikes at school and wrote to Norton (Norton Villiers Triumph) as it was then and asked them if they could send me any photos posters etc..

They duly did bless em.. and sent advertising blurb and some great full size posters of their entire range. Bonnie, Tiger, Trident, Commando and a police bike.
I think it was called Saint or something like that and was based on the Triumph Tiger. There was also info on a moped called the NVT Easyrider. I think it was a 50cc but cant say I've ever seen one. They must have sold about 3.

Nope, mine was in the shed having a bit o TLC..(well oil n filter change :D)

Bloody heard ya all though....bout half eight thought it was world superbike starting :D:D
