Version 7.540

I do not have a Tom Tom but came across this on another forum.

If it's borrox, please do not shoot the messenger.

If you use Tripmaster on your TomTom - DO NOT install v7.540 onto your TomTom as it does not run Tripmaster. This is a known issue, and despite there being a few workarounds mentioned, I've not found one that works. This new version has a couple of neat features, but nothing that compensates for losing Tripmaster.

Also, if you haven't already installed v2 of HOME, don't bother - I much prefer the previous version.

At last I have Tripmaster back.

For those of you who have TomTom firmware v7.54 and can't get Tripmaster working visit http://www.gregoryduncan.com/ttmd/index.php where you can download a menu manager. Alternatively you can use the one I've created, just copy the contents below into a Notepad file and save as tomtom.mnu into the folder SdkRegistry on your TomTom. No need to worry because at any stage you can delete this file and you will get your default TomTom menu's back.

Tip: I've read on forums that you can't get the new icons for the new Trip Statistics and Help Me that come with v7.54... Before you create the file, ensure you create a new Quick Car menu - Add both to this, along with any other quick access options you wish. This will give you a green curly arrow to the left of your TomTom screen. Pressing this will take you to your quick access menu, and it remains there even after applying your customised menus.

Bring out new software and make sure it doesn't work with as many 3rd party apps/devices......
