Just been quoted £150-£200 for subject service at CW in Dorchester. Any thoughts regarding this price? Good/Bad or should I shop around.
Early replies welcome as its booked in for Friday

Hi Rog,

By 10,000 km do you mean 12,000mile service? what do they mean by subject? (sorry to be so dumb) but is it if they find extra's things? The 12 thou is a big'ish service mine was £160 but did not need pads etc hence under £200.

Might be worth a phone around depends on who, what, and most important HOW!

good luck,

TD

I had my 18k service today and first annual. They also replaced the rear brake pads and cleaned up the front brakes which were a bit sticky. Total bill was £264. I'll look at the bill and work out what it would have been without the brake pads.

For the first annual service they only change the brake fluid. For the second one they also change the clutch fluid. Changing the brake fluid on a servo bike is time consuming so it puts the bill up.

Service costs

Hi guys,
Bike has done 5000miles and was last serviced May 03 at 3000. Dealer tells me that as it is close to its' 10000km service and we are touring in June it is just as well to have it serviced while I have the time and they are able to fit me in. Just wondered if the price is average or a bit high. The dealer tells me they do valve clearances at 'all' services...is this right?

Cw's are slightly higher than average but it's worth it :thumb

Had my 18000 a few weeks ago. Opted to do my own rears and paid £214. Felt relativlely(?) happy at this price and looking forward to 24K. Glad you enjoyed the rockster- so did I! do you think they are trying to make another sale by lending such a good bike??

On Friday last week SPC quoted 175 quids for the 6000 miles/10000 kms and 250 of them for the 12000 miles/20000 kms service. SO CW look cheaper

6000 should total about GBP125
12000 GBP185
Incl VAT
Hope that helps.
Regards Bill
