Hi everyone.
This is in fact my second rather than my first post (which was a little missive entitled "HOWTO: Save routes from Google Maps, and view in Google Earth" -- hope someone finds it useful)
However, I thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm an Aussie living in the UK for the last four years (and probably for a few more). I had plenty of 4WD bush and desert action in Australia, but haven't ridden a bike since an old Kawasaki 100 on private roads in Fiji about 25 years ago! I figured if I could ride a bike in London I'd be good for anywhere
so I passed my DAS last Tuesday thanks to the great guys at Freedom Motorcycle Training in Watford.
I'm (hopefully) picking up my new 04 F650GS Dakar from Bath on Sunday and riding it back to Watford, so wish me luck and cross fingers, toes and eyeballs for good weather.
Hope to continue getting good advice here on all things GS and touring.
