will PC III fix the stalling issue and give better performance?

http://www.powercommander.com/power...ander_all_downloads.aspx?mk=3&mdl=213&yr=2008

The BMW CIP 12 software update will fix the stalling issue. The PCIII may give better performance.

thanks, when was CIP 12 released?

will PC III mess up the fuel computer etc.?

CIP 12 is out in the US and UK. Check with your dealer about availability in your country.

I'd suggest contacting contacting DynoJet direct on the second one. Generally, if you have to ask that question, the answer is probably. :D

Yeah i am a little lost with this thread. I know the power commander, but a quick definition of both would help.
If anyone else does not admit it, I will state that i dont fully understand this thread.

The GT1 BMW machine gets regular updates from the factory that contains the firware updates for all motorcycles. These updates are bundeled into release packages called CIP's. (think MacOS 8, 9, 10, etc.) Each release is accompnied by release notes that detail the update to each motorcycle containined within the package.

CIP 12 was just released. It's superceeded 11 or 11.1 or something. :)

Thanks, that clarifies this a bit. Do you know the release date of the new "service pack"?
I saw in one of those GS911 thingy that my bikes software is dated June 2008 but I was to lazy to write down the version number. Good to know that one can keep track of what is the current release of the software.

Hmm ... I have the GS911 device and I can't seem to get to the CIP level anywhere, or at least anything recognizable as such. Which value should I be checking?

Nevermind, found it on the GS-911 Google group. Looks like the CIP number is basically the version number of the installer CD the shop uses to flash new firmware onto various ECU models. The disc itself has gobs of different versions of firmware, so it isn't immediately obvious to even the shop which version got installed, only that if the latest CIP gets used, the latest firmware should get installed. Poo.

Sorry, now, back on topic ...
