Called into E.T. James at Rhayader, Powys, last week and the re-introduction of the DRZ was mentioned. The bike was dropped from the Suzuki GB line-up last year and the reason was never made clear why this happened, though the rumour was that road rice rocket sales were down so it was to entice riders on to the GSXR. Erm, Suzuki....... I want a trailbike, but can't get a DRZ....... ok, I'l take a GSXR please.......... I don't think so!:blast.
I reckon Suzuki made a big mistake dropping the bike from their line-up.
Let's hope a re-vamped machine is on show at the NEC or DBS this year.

It's still available in the USA (here) so is, presumably, still in production.

The only reason I can think of is emissions for Euro iv rating (?) that took it's legs from under it.
Maybe a re-vamp will bring it back to our 'Euro' shores.......

Woo Hoo!

I dont believe it!
The last actually capable 'trail' bike that you can put a kicker on and ride some distance without heavy maintenance is back. The whole world hasn't gone mad after all!

Good to hear.

Would be good if they made a DRZ (L/C & dohc) version of the DR650 with e-start & a kicker with a wet weight of 170kg & a 20 litre tank.
