No mileage , Rev counter sticks

A up , Went lumb farm and on the Sunday started up bike and noticed I had no mileage just 5 dots Now I have no time clock and when I turn the engine off the rev counter stays at 1300 revs but if I turn the ignition on and then off without starting the engine the rev counter dpops back down to 0 revs I ride a F650GS 05 plate Any help welcome cheers Mel

try 650 single forum,also f650.uk website.

checked your battery is all ok?
check battery terminals are tight.

Isn't this the 450/650 single cylinder chain drive section of Uk GS sight or am i reading something else into the section header :nenau

it is the 650 section

but there are far more owners of single 650's on the 650 uk site.

Check the loom at the rear shock preload adjuster, the loom can touch the adjuster and begin to wear away, i saw this over on the us 650 site.
