Isle of Man - in Feb?!

Hi

My wife & I are wanting to have a long weekend away (our daughter will be away so we can go & play), at the moment we are considering the Isle of Man in Feb.
Can you suggest:
1. Some easy ish off road tracks or nice roads (2x 650 GS (yr 03))
2. Reasonable accomodation- Its our anniversary - so a 'small' amount of luxury may not go a miss!

Loads of easy tracks on the IoM I'm sure one of the locals will be along to give you accurate locations.

Can't help with tracks (off road wuss) but hotelwise

1. Choice may be a little limited as it's winter.
2. Hilton - has casino etc and you may pick up a Mail on Sunday style dinner bed and breakfast offer.
3. Ascot Hotel is highly rated.

If you coming over in feb it will be bloody cold everywhere lol.

Anyway accomodation... Depends on where on island you fancy but douglas is best bet for the time of year so try http://www.visitisleofman.com/
I would try mount murry as the bikes will be parked on private car park

As for offroad some tracks are shut for winter. But still loads of trails allbeit short ones. A mixture of gravel and dirt and sheep sh*t. I can PM you all the routes for mapsource if it helps.

I know the people who run the Mount Murray ... its a really lovely place; really bike friendly folk and just a lovely home from home. If its your anniversary - GO FOR IT! The rates are good; they are a 5 minute walk from the Mount Murray Hotel and Golf Club - which has a leisure facility; pool; Health and Beauty Spa; golf lnks; driving range ... all that sort of thing ....
