From F650GS to 990 ADV.........

Who has made this change ? ...and what are your thoughts ?

I am considering the new 2009 990 ADV....but I need to test ride it first

I made the change in sept 2007. Main problem with the 650 on trips with bigger bikes loaded up I felt i was thrashing the 650 a bit at motorway speeds. No worries with the KTM. I always thought I rode the 650 quite hard but the KTM has alot more power so more caution is definately needed.
Minus point in changing are the fuel consumption is alot poorer and at 5 feet 10 I cant get both feet on the floor. No problem on the road but stopping on uneven stuff can be a bit dodgy.
Looking back the 650 was a great bike but the KTM is something else. You'll never regret it.
