Ok...we bought the airline tickets on Sat.
So that's us confirmed for arriving in the UK mid May this year.
We'll be on tour from then until Mid August.
Landing at London.
Looking to stay around London as a central base for a few days. Will hire a car and chase up bikes we like the look of.
Anyone wants to say hi, meet up or do dinner and drinks, let us know.
We figure a few days finding the right bike. Then about a week riding around some of the UK to make sure it's all ok.
Then we'll probably head off to France and gradually make our way thru various countries, down to Turkey.
Don't have any concrete plans as yet, in regards the actual route.
But we figure we won't plan anything, we'll just go where the wind takes us.
We'll be looking for a used 650 V-Strom or Honda Transalp, or BMW R series or GS series airhead Boxer.
Although the prices people are asking for the older Boxer's; we'll probably end up with a much later year model V-Strom or a Transalp. We might consider a modern GS oilhead if we think we can afford it.
The general idea is: UK/France, across and down to Romania. Then Turkey.
Then a possible flight over to Cairo for a week. Then back to Turkey and ride via Albania and some other countries to Greece/Italy/Corsica/France/Spain/Morocoo/Spain/Portugal/Spain and back to the UK.
Also considering ridng down thru Syria to Jordan and visiting the ruins at Petra. (But possible we could fly to Petra for a day or so from Eygpt. Or even take a ferry.)
Looking forward to meeting a few of you guys and gals along the way.
