We would like to enthusiastically invite and warmly welcome any riders to our third annual Helimed Rideout on Saturday 22nd August 2009. There will be two start points at the Air Ambulance bases in Swansea and Caernarfon (although riders are welcome to join at any point of the route), the two routes meeting at the TT Bike Centre in Llandrindod Wells before moving on to the famous Ponderosa Café on Llangollen’s Horseshoe pass.
From here the ride will move on to the four-star Craxton Wood hotel near Chester where there will be evening entertainment including a charity auction, a hot buffet and an amazing deal on rooms: £60 per room (£30 per person) for a double or twin.
Helimed Rideout is a registered charity in its own right but it exists to support the Wales Air Ambulance and other emergency medical charities. Several of the pilots and paramedics will be joining the ride and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.
There will be a minimum sponsorship of £10 per rider (with or without pillion) and an extra £5 per person attending the evening event (this to cover the food costs).
Our website is currently under construction (due to go live by the end of March) and will be found at www.helimedrideout.co.uk where, for the first time, full registration can be made online without messing about with stamped addressed envelopes et al. We will update this thread when it is up and running.
We look forward to seeing you!
