Being my first KTM, I'm wondering if 500ml of oil per 1,800 miles is good, normal, average, dire, or take-it-back-to-the-Dealer?

My 990SM behaved faultlessly from the north to south (and back) of France last week, and I suspect this consumption figure is probably about right?

Fuel Tank range was about 130-140miles. Interestingly, the consumption reduced (ie more mpg) through the twisty bits on the Route Napoleon, rather than blats on A roads!

Despite the label of a Supermoto, it's actually an extremely capable 'tourer'. Look in the Siss Alps open invite thread for pics etc.

Anyhow, back to the oil consumption..?

Cheers

Very similar figures to my 950 Adventure. Definately nothing to worry about.

mine was like that up to about 10k , after it calmed down to next to nothing:thumb2

Thanks, fellas. :thumb

It's now on 3,400 miles, and due a service in another 1,100. Maybe it'll settle downa bit more afetrwards, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Not overly concerned, but oil level is one of the things I often forget to check as regularly as I should :blast

Anyhow, thanks again.
