Day trip across to Ypres Salient for some sightseeing and trench exploring, plus some nosh.

We have some booked already and will use the Shuttle. Train times to be added later (when I get home and check the ticket!)

No probs. We are going on the shuttles as above ... the route on eveerytrail can be downloaded as a GPX file and will go in Garmin and Tom-Tom software.

I used TYRE to create it in the first place.

I have got Mapsource 6.15.6 and it says it cannot import the GPX file. Can others open it without trouble?

Converting the file from the GPX on the website has kept the waypoints but lost all the names.

I can't find the original GDB file either to get them all back but the order should be:

Talbot House (Poperinge)
Bayernwald German Trenches
Ypres "In Flanders Field" and Lunch
Zonnebeke Museum
Totemuhle
PAX Park (Diksmuide)

We generally meet up outside the entrance to the terminal buildings. When you go through the tolls go left at the roundabout, not right to the trains. You go along with the car park on the right and then right through the entrance. We park by the doors into the building at the "left" end as you look at the terminal building!

GPS Location is N51.096185 E1.121460

I'll be on the Mandarin 1150 and there will be an assortment of bikes, maybe a Busa or two....

Having cycled to Ieper and back last weekend, I can tell you that the hill into Cassel is kin horrible. Nasty memories.

It's okay in the dry.... but by the looks of it, it will be pissing down if the weather on the Beeb at lunch time is to be believed.
