engine and frame no's

Should these be the same? I'm looking at a 1994 model with the frame prefix 4JG but the engine is prefixed 1KH. From the details on angelfire http://www.angelfire.com/sports/serowpages/models/modidx1.htm it looks like the KH model is older than the JG.

Any ideas?

you're right (I think) the KH does look older than the JG model judging by the other setups...... (rear drum instead of rear discs). However its not against the norm for an engine to be changed..... e.g. if original engine blew, then you go for cheapest one to get it complete then flog it on.....

Just a thought though.....
