Hi all,
Just got round to taking the forks off my DRZ400 S, well the right one first, and was reading the Clymer manual afterwards as you do.
It said (as fair as I could tell reading it last night) to remove the spring then drain the oil out, fill with oil and bleed them by pumping the rod up and down. Is this necessary? Last time I did fork oil (some years ago on my VFR400), I just emptied the oil, filled it back up (with the springs in I think) and put it all back together...no bleeding.
Which method is best and why?
Also, I was going to put some Motul 'medium' oil in it. The oil that came out was normal looking, then started coming out a bit white water or just knackered oil?
Any suggestions/advise?
Cheers
