Ive got the chance of an '03 Dakar with just 8000 miles on it for £1000 , it looks as if it has been left out side as there is some corrosion and surface rust but is there anything else i should look out for that could prove problamatic in the future . Im not to bothered about the cosmetics as it will be used as a greenlaner / offroader . Thanks for any advice .

If it runs, drives is water tight, oil tight, and more or less complete (IE not bent) then rip his arm off

As above, it's probably worth more than that as a non runner!!!!
