Normandy 1944....'Then and Now' photos

Thought some might be interested in this site that I just found....quite recognisable landmarks if you've done any touring over there and interesting to see this take on it.....

great pictures makes you wonder why they didnt pull down and rebuild some of those properties

I was over in Normandy for the first time last weekend and was wandering what it had all been like. One of the churches near Omaha beach has a big B&W picture outside of it showing what it had been like after the landings.

Heading back again in a few weeks to scatter my Grandfathers ashes on one of the hills they fought over and lost lots of his close pals.
