Heated grips wont turn off

...in fact I never turned them on!
The grips came on by themselves even though the switch was in the off position. At first I thought some funster was having a lark with me but I cant get them to turn off. I`ve tried spraying contact cleaner into the switch to no avail.
Anyone got a clue?

Sounds like the switch is goosed.
Strip it down and have a look see.

Yes it looks like I`ll have to bite the bullet and take it all apart...just hope I can get it back together again.

I dont know anything about these bikes, i have a G450x, but was wondering if the switch operates a relay to switch the power to the heaters, if so it could be the relay thats at fault, just an idea.

It now looks like my headstock bearings are farked so I`ll get a chance now to check it all out.
