Hi,
My local SERV (Bloodrunners) group in Herts and Beds is going to be doing a toy run for the hospitals we provide a service to:
- Stevenage Lister
- Welwyn Garden City QEII
- Bedford
- Luton & Dunstable
Santa suits will be worn
as we ride our bikes round to each of the hospitals giving out the pressies. We've got a van with a driver to carry the pressies around, so numbers of gifts aren't a problem.
So we are looking for pressies to give out!
- Brand new/boxed
- We will do the wrapping and labelling
- Ages 0 - 15, boys and girls
- No teddy bears/furry things (hygiene issue)
All you parents out there probably have a better clue than I have about ideas. However, I'm told things like this go down well:
- Teen books (vampire books!)
- Dollies
- Colouring books and pens
- Craft-y type stuff they can make and take home
I'm sure there's more ideas out there!
We have a collection point and contact name in Welwyn Garden City (Campus West) or, if you can get loads of stuff, we might be able to arrange collection in the South East/Midlands. You can also send stuff to me - drop me a PM for contact details.
Addressed letters on headed paper, signed by the head and treasurer of our group are available if that helps oil the wheels.
