LONDON TO MAGADAN - BEST JOB IN THE WORLD
COMPASS EXPEDITIONS

Wanted: One mechanic and one medic.

On June the 12th 2010 Compass Expeditions shall be riding out of London bound for the other side of the world, Magadan, Siberia, at the terminus of the “Road of Bones”.

This 100 day epic ride will follow, in parts, the 2000 year old Silk Road through Central Asia before crossing Mongolia then Siberia then riding the infamous “Road of Bones” into Magadan.

What we need.

One motorcycle mechanic familiar with BMW motorcycles, trade certificate not necessary but checkable mechanical history needed.

One medic: Applicants need to have at least remote area first aid training that can be validated.

All applicants need to be available for pre ride training and for the duration of the ride.

All applicants need the following:

1. The above minimum qualifications
2. Great with people
3. Sense of humour
4. A great desire to travel one of the most extraordinary regions on earth.
5. Willing to work with the general day to day running of the expedition

What drugs are you intending to supply for the medics use?
Is the medic travelling by bike or in a support vehicle?
Will there be a translator on the trip for handover by the medic to local hospitals?

We will be guided by the medic as to what drugs we take, that’s why we are seeking a professional medic, to advise us.

The Medic will be traveling in the support vehicle along with with mechanic.

Thanks to everyone that contacted us expressing their interest in the medic / mechanic job for the 2010 London to Magadan (Road of Bones) expedition.

The positions have been filled for this years ride. June 12 the group will be riding out from the Ace Cafe and its going to be a great adventure.

London to Magadan Send Off: Ace Cafe June 12

Join Compass Expeditions as they set off from the Ace Café on June the 12th 2010 for Magadan, Siberia.

A small group of adventure bikers will be gathering at the Ace Café 7.30am 12th June 2010 for our final English breakfast before riding to Dover and embarking on the ride of our lives, riding ¼ of the earths surface to Magadan at the end of the legendary “Road of Bones”

Riders from Australia, UK, America, Mexico and Canada will be joining us on this expedition, all on BMWs. R 1200 GS, F 650 GS, G 650 GS and Dakar BMWs will all be undertaking this tough expedition.

Ride leader, Mick McDonald says “we would love to have as many people as possible to join us for breakfast at the Ace Café before we ride off at around 9.30am, bound for Magadan, and even better would be anyone who would like to join us on the ride to Dover”. “This is a life changing event, it really is” says Mick, “and Compass Expeditions is still the only company that offers such an expedition”.
