450 exc front brake question

Hi
Just replacing the front pads on my 04 model exc and i cant work out where the anti rattle thingy goes does it go at the top as pictured (doesent seem to sit correctly) in the middle or at the bottom?
any help greatly received

Which doesn't actually show it fitted and simply states "be sure to check for correct fit of the sliding metal-sheet 3 in the caliper support and of the leaf spring 4." so doesn't actually answer the question, but I'm sure the thought is appreciated.

With the spring the way round you have it in the pic, the two tabs that point down on the underside clip either side of the raised part in the middle of the calliper. The pads then sit on the clip and when you push down to align the pads to the pin the pads hold the spring in place and the spring holds the pads firmly in place to prevent movement/rattle/squeal.

If the spring doesn't clip into place properly just bend the tabs in slightly so it gets better purchase.
