Keeping the settings

OK, I'm an IT buff and all that but the problem is I'm a dinosaur. I work with "mainframes" which means I know very little about PCs.

So, to the question.....

I keep setting my VIEW/TEXT SIZE to the LARGE typeface (my eyes are f'ed these days) but each time I sign on it's always reverted back to the SMALL typeface. What do I have to do to get it to keep the LARGE setting ? I use NT at work and it retains whatever I set so I'm not sure why my system here won't do the same.

BTW, I sort of lied about what I know about PCs and I'm quite happy playing with the registry if I have to. But, do I have to ?

I run IE6 on Windows SE.

Cheers IT buffs everywhere

on the tools/options/accessibiltiy tab in IE6 there is a tick box for "ignore font sizes set by web pages"

also have a look at global accessibility options on your version of Windoze

unfortunatley I am not familiar with SE so cannot be more specific

in WinXP you need to go to Control panel

select display, click appearance, and select the appropriate font size from the drop down list

SE will probably be similar

Wessie,

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I don't seem to have the settings you describe.

I'm confuse because on NT it seems to retain the settings but not on SE.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers
