This very afternoon at the small and inoffensive Wetton Mill ford in Derbyshire and I decided to take Rainbows' 1200 CL Criuser thingy through the water - all 10 feet of it.

Damn thing went down and holed the cylinder head on the nearside. Didnt have my GS emergency kit with me (Aralidite and tank tape) so had to wave tata to everyone else and wait for BMW assistance.

Very pleasant chap from The Mansfield Group arrived an hour later and recovered bike and us back to home.
Bike is now in garage with Araldite in cylinder head cover drying on the bench, so I can ride it back to the dealers after topping up the oil.

WHAT A MUPPET!!! WILL I EVER LEARN?

I don't think it was your fault, you could reasonably expect a CRUISER to float.

Its a shit bike anyway.
