Can anyone tell me if a standard gs sumpguard will fit a 1200rt?

Why would you want to/need to? 
I started another thread 'breakdown' most of the stuff is in there. Basicly something hit the bottom engine casing and caused 3000 Euro worth of damage. I am insured but I just cannot belive what has happend. The bill is only for replaceing the casing and gaskets and other parts. Imagine what would have happend if I had run the engine dry. It would be cheaper to buy a complete engine. JJH

I think its a good idea.
I've done something similar to mine - just a couple 1/8" aluminium plates that bolt on and cover the alternator belt cover and underside of the engine.
Keeps the muck off and would provide some protection if I got unlucky.

Knocked one up for mine to keep it in one piece for Turkey and Greece. It worked well....
