can anyone recommend a good online reailer for the oil filter service kit ?

Motorworks have a G450X page, but it is under construction.
I can only suggest you call them and ask them to add the service kit to the service item page, then you could purchase on line.
At present there are on foreign (USA, DE and LV) companies doing on line sales.
Or call to any BMW dealer and they can deliver to your address, and buy a stock of kits for in your workshop.

Just checked on the Hiflo web site, and your spot on with the hf611 it fits the G450X. lot cheaper than a genuine filter.
