Battery drain after 4 days.

re my previous thread - the problem was solved last week.The BMS-K unit,remained on when it should go dormant after 10 minutes.This consumed 95 m-amps,which flattened the battery.I am bound to say my dealer and BMW Customer service were faultless.

Whats a BMS-K unit??

Can you enlighten me as to what this is?? :confused:

I think the same thing has just happened to me, bike left for 5 days in the garage, went to go for a ride, everything dead, battery reading 5.4 volts! Left on charge overnight, everything seems ok now. Question, did your dealer say why the BMS-K stayed on?, and could it happen again?

The BMS-K is the fuel injection/engine management system.

The BMS-K unit is the control processor for electrical supply and control.

The K unit is the unit that controls wether you get any Kellogs for breakfast or not.
