Hotel in Washington

Im flying into Washington this summer and have a few days to spend sight seeing before collecting my bike from Baltimore.

Anyone recommend a decent hotel not far from the airport (Dulles) but within reasonable distance to the main atractions (White House etc). Also any suggestions on the best way to get to Baltimore from Washington (train/bus etc)
