KTM 640 LC4 dies with Sidestand down.

Hi all,

Having a problem - nothing major, but a bit of a niggling issue.

My LC4 cranks but won't start with the Sidestand down. Starts and runs beautifully with the stand in the 'up' position.

When running, if I put the stand down, the engine dies after approx 2 seconds.

The bike is in neutral in both situations with the clutch in.



Any help would be very much appreciated.

Has it a neutral light on the dash? And is the bulb in working condition?
Also, why the feck have you not take the sidestand switch away..... always the first 'mod' to do.....

The neutral light is working perfectly. Not taken the sidestand switch off - is it an easy mod?

Yes.
Trace the loom back to the nearest connection and make a sprag connection.
